In the history of European art there are masterpieces that adorn the long path of creation and destruction of its art. The Boyana Church or more precisely "St. St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and Panteleimon ” is a modern fortress of the Bulgarian spirit and an essential element of the temple of world art. Without it, the Bulgarian and European history of art would be poor. Its importance is proved by the fact that it is the first cultural site in Bulgaria, included in the UNESCO list in 1979.
