A whole complex, consisting of a monastery for Catholic monks, a church and a concert hall was built. The main proponent of this idea was the Franciscan Timotei of Biela. It is believed that the parish served around 2 000 people. It is one of the few places in Sofia, where an organ performance can be enjoyed – the traditional Roman Catholic instrument.
