The eastern gate of the fortress of late antique Serdika was restored and exhibited during the period 1997-1999 in the underpass in front of the former Party House. Here you will walk on original Roman street, covered by large stone plates. The last fortress wall of Serdika was built during the reign of Emperor Justinian I (527-566).
