Another modern monument in our tour is that of the “Volunteers”. On a rectangular pedestal rises a bronze statue of the Bulgarian volunteer (total height of 7 m.). The figure of the Bulgarian volunteer in the famous painting “The Samara flag” by the Czech artist Yaroslav Vesin served as a model for the sculpture.
